Notes: Open to the public from April 1 through October 31; a permit is required, but it's free.

Also along Vantage Highway are Quilomene Wildlife Area (west) and Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area (east); the flowers there are mostly the same as at Wild Horse.

Peak wildflower bloom at Wild Horse Wind Farm is typically from early April through the end of May, but there may be some flowers blooming from mid-March until mid-June.*
