School Canyon/Little Badger Creek

Wasco County, Oregon

Mt. Hood National Forest

Fees: none

Activity: hiking

Elevation: 2135'-4045'

Current status (as of 12/9/24): not blooming

Notes: The loop hike shown in the map on this page includes some off-trail cross-country travel: starting from the Little Badger Trailhead, you can immediately bushwhack uphill (about 400 vertical feet) toward the School Canyon Trailhead. If that's not your thing, you can go out-and-back from either the School Canyon Trailhead or the Little Badger Trailhead, or arrange a shuttle with two cars or a bike. (The two trailheads are only 0.8 miles apart as the crow flies, but they're separated by 3.6 miles of road.)

Peak wildflower bloom in School Canyon/Little Badger Creek is typically from early May through the end of June, but there may be some flowers blooming from mid-April until mid-July.*
