Nasty Rock & Not Nasty Rock
Clackamas County, Oregon
Bureau of Land Management
Fees: none
Activity: hiking
Elevation: 4180'-4625'
Current status (as of 11/14/24): not blooming
Notes: "Not Nasty Rock" is quite a bit nastier than Nasty Rock, and was probably supposed to be the one named Nasty Rock. But the mapmakers screwed up, and we're stuck with their mistake. (NNR's name is unofficial.) FYI, parts of this area, especially along the ridge south of Nasty Rock, were burned by the 2020 Beachie Creek Fire.
Peak wildflower bloom at Nasty Rock & Not Nasty Rock is typically from mid-May through June into mid-July, but there may be some flowers blooming from early May until the end of July.*
