Notes: The loop trail to Little Falls is less than a mile round-trip. For a longer hike, start at the parking area for Eight Dollar Mountain and follow the Jeffrey Pine Loop Trail down toward the river and then west to the falls. You can make a 3.5-mile loop by walking back along the road — and the side of the road has plenty of wildflowers too.

Peak wildflower bloom at Little Illinois River Falls is typically from early April through May into mid-June, but there may be some flowers blooming from early March until early July.*
