Notes: The road to the Alder Springs Trailhead is awful (doable in any car, but rocky and slow). For a hike through similar terrain that's easier to get to, check out the Scout Camp Trail on the other side of the Deschutes River, near Crooked River Ranch.

Peak wildflower bloom at Alder Springs/Whychus Creek Canyon is typically from late April through May into late June, but there may be some flowers blooming from mid-April until the end of June.*
