stipules inconspicuous, widely triangular, 1.5–2 mm; dull to silvery tan;

tips acuminate.

Flowers

sepal lobes 2.3–3.1 mm, barely longer in fruit;

petals white;

stamens 4–7;

styles 0.4–0.6 mm.

Seeds

0.4–0.6 mm; black; shiny;

surface with low, elongate tubercles, not papillate, not winged.

Discussion

Basalt scabland, sand and gravel bars. Flowering May–Sep. 0–700 m. ECas, Owy, WV. WA, ID; north to British Columbia, northeast to Saskatchewan; Mediterranean Africa and Europe, southwestern Asia. Exotic.
