Stems

Basal leaves

margins lyrate; pinnatifid, or dentate;

lateral lobes 1–4 on each side of midvein; < terminal lobes;

petioles 1–6 cm.

Cauline leaves

margins uppermost dentate, subsessile.

Inflorescences

fruiting pedicels divaricate or ascending, 7–25 mm.

Flowers

sepals 7–11 mm;

petals 15–25 × 4–7 mm, yellow or creamy white;

claws to 1.5 cm;

styles 1–5 cm.

Fruits

linear to narrowly lanceolate, valvular segments 1–1.5 mm;

distal segments (1.5)2–11(14) cm × (2.5)3–8(11) mm, longitudinally ribbed, constricted and breaking between seeds.

Seeds

2.5–3.5 × 1.8–2.5 mm.
