Discussion | Openings in montane conifer forests. 1500–2700 m. BR, BW, Sisk. CA, ID, NV, WA; east to UT. Native. Poa bolanderi is a tall, often glaucous annual with long, smooth lemmas. Similar Poa howellii has hairy lemmas and usually grows at lower elevations. |
