Flowers

sepals lanceolate, 40–50 mm long;

petals obovate, 40–60 mm long, white to pink or purple, with a chevron or crescent or not; lower 33% of inner petal with yellow scattered hairs; outer petal surface with distinct green band;

nectary depressed, triangular;

filaments 8–9 mm long;

anthers to 10 mm long, pink to light purple.

sepals 10–40 mm long;

petals oblanceolate, 20–40 mm long, with median longitudinal green stripe on outer surface, yellow zone surrounding nectary with a dark red to dark purple blotch or crescent above;

tips acuminate;

nectary round, depressed, surrounded by scant hairs;

hairs in a tight oblong grouping clustering to a center;

filaments 5–6 mm long;

anthers oblong, 5–9 mm long; reddish.

Fruits

erect; lance-linear, 5–10 mm wide.

upright; lance-linear, triangular in cross section, 3–7 cm long.

Seeds

wafer-like; straw-colored.
