Discussion | Trifolium owyheense is known from about 40 populations in a small portion of east-central Malheur County in Oregon, and immediately adjacent Owyhee County in Idaho (M. Mancuso 2001). (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
Trifolium barnebyi is known from central Wyoming. It was originally described as a variety of T. haydenii, but was elevated to species rank based on its pubescent petioles, pedicels, and peduncles, closely spaced leaflet veins, and more elongate leaflets that are two times as long as wide.
