Fruiting pedicels

often ascending, sometimes erect or divaricate, slightly torulose, straight or slightly incurved (forming straight line with pedicel), terete, 1.5–6.5(–8.2) cm × 1–1.3(–2) mm;

Discussion

Subspecies 2 (2 in the flora).

Streptanthus howellii (S. Watson) M. E. Jones is a later homonym of S. howellii S. Watson 1885.

Of conservation concern.

Subspecies spectabilis is known only from Baker, Harney, Malheur, and Union counties. It is in the Center for Plant Conservation’s National Collection of Endangered Plants.
