Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Senecio pattersonensis has the aspect of a depauperate S. fremontii with notably narrow leaves. Some plants in collections appear to be intergrades with S. spartioides.

Rayless individuals of Senecio pseudoarnica have been recognized as var. rollandii or forma rollandii (Victorin) Fernald; they are not otherwise distinctive.
