Discussion | Scrophularia peregrina was introduced in Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden for biosystematic studies in the 1950s. It is abundant and weedy in the Garden and immediately adjacent in uncultivated and non-irrigated areas; it is considered likely to spread, with potential negative impacts on the native flora, especially in southern California (T. S. Ross and S. Boyd 1996). (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
