Discussion

Variety thompsoniae is known from Emery, Garfield, Kane, San Juan, and Wayne counties.

Variety whitingii is known from San Juan County, Utah, from near Monument Valley westward to Navajo Mountain, and disjunctly in Wupatki National Monument, Coconino County, Arizona.
