Discussion | Variety tenuifolius is found in central and southeastern Arizona, Doña Ana and Hidalgo counties in New Mexico, and El Paso and Jeff Davis counties in Texas. Phaseolus angustissimus occurs within the range of var. tenuifolius and might be confused with it. Plants of var. tenuifolius can be distinguished from P. angustissimus by their fibrous roots and many-seeded pods. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
