Discussion | Packera anonyma is common, almost weedy throughout most of its range. It grows on serpentine in Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In western parts of its range, putative hybrids between P. anonyma and P. plattensis and P. tomentosa have been reported. Packera hyperborealis is known only from lowland tundra from Alaska to the Mackenzie River and as far south as the northern end of the Franklin Mountains. It has also been collected as far north as Banks Island. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
