Discussion

Some individuals of Lechea stricta can be difficult to determine with certainty; the extremes of variation of L. stricta often grade into that of L. intermedia and L. pulchella.

Of conservation concern.

Lechea lakelae is known only from coastal scrub woodlands in Collier County; it has not been collected since 1987 and may have been extirpated.
