Discussion

Heuchera elegans occurs in the mountains of southern California, chiefly in the San Gabriel Range in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and vicinity. It resembles H. caespitosa. This group is in need of phylogenetic study.

Heuchera abramsii occurs in the San Antonio Mountains and the eastern part of the San Gabriel Mountains, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties. It closely resembles H. brevistaminea, H. caespitosa, H. elegans, and H. pulchella.
