Flowers | papilionaceous; calyx broadly campanulate, lobes 5; corolla purple to lilac or white; stamens 10, diadelphous; anthers dorsifixed. |
Fruits | legumes, stipitate, turgid, obovoid to ellipsoid or oblong, tardily dehiscent, indented along sutures, glabrous. |
Seeds | 2–8, subreniform, smooth. |
