leaflets [5–]29–61, mostly opposite, stipels absent, blades suborbiculate to oblong-ovate, margins entire, surfaces pubescent.
Inflorescences

6–15-flowered, terminal, spikes;

bracts present;

bracteoles absent, often represented by 2 sessile glands.
Flowers

usually papilionaceous, sometimes apetalous or only banner present;

calyx campanulate, tube 10-ribbed, lobes 5;

corolla absent or vestigial banner present [petals 5], yellow;

stamens [9]10, monadelphous;

anthers dorsifixed.
Fruits

legumes, sessile, somewhat compressed, obovoid-ellipsoid, indehiscent, scattered glands present, strigulose.
Seed

1, slightly compressed, ellipsoid.
