Varieties 4 (4 in the flora). (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
Variety pedunculatum is encountered infrequently on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada in Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Tulare, and Tuolumne counties. The feature that was the basis for the varietal epithet, a pedunculate involucre, is seen only rarely. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
