Eriogonum gracillimum is found in the Coast, Transverse, and scattered mountain desert ranges in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Merced, Monterey, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Tulare counties. Of conservation concern. Eriogonum darrovii is of special concern in Nevada and Arizona. In Arizona, it is known only from scattered locations in northern Mohave (west of Mt. Trumbull) and northwestern Coconino (Fredonia area) counties. In Nevada, it is known from White Valley (Nye County) and Spring Valley from Majors Place (White Pine County) to Pony Springs (Lincoln County).
