Eriogonum gracillimum is found in the Coast, Transverse, and scattered mountain desert ranges in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Merced, Monterey, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Tulare counties. Of conservation concern. Eriogonum coloradense is a high-elevation species closely allied to E. lonchophyllum. It is restricted to the backbone of the central Colorado Rocky Mountains in Chaffee, Gunnison, Park, Pitkin, and Saguache counties.
