distalmost overtopping arrays.

blades 1-nerved, linear, 25–40 × 1–3 mm, faces tomentulose, eglandular;

distalmost shorter than arrays.

Involucres

10–12 mm.

10.5–13 mm.

Florets

(4–)5–6;

corollas pale yellow, 7.5–10 mm, tubes distally puberulent, throats gradually dilated, lobes 1–1.5 mm.

5–8;

corollas pale yellow, 8–9.1 mm, tubes glabrous or puberulent, throats abruptly dilated, lobes 0.7–1 mm.

Phyllaries

(11–)13–17(–19), chartaceous, outer herbaceous-tipped, apices erect, acuminate (glabrous, viscidulous).

12–15, outer herbaceous or herbaceous-tipped, otherwise chartaceous, apices erect (tan or greenish), attenuate.

Heads

usually 4–8 in lax (much branched), racemiform to cymiform-paniculiform arrays.

5–10+ in racemiform arrays.
