Varieties 3 (1 in the flora). Two varieties of Dalea pringlei occur in Mexico. Variety multijuga Barneby is found in Chihuahua, Sinaloa, and Sonora, while var. oxyphyllidia Barneby is restricted to the Río Mayo area of Sonora.
