Discussion | Subspecies speciosa is known from the South Coast Ranges in Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and scarcely to Ventura counties, and very sporadically in the Tehachapi and southern Sierra Nevada Mountains in Kern and Tulare counties.
