Discussion | Subspecies clavicarpa is known primarily from the central and southern Sierra Nevada Foothills to the Tehachapi Mountain area from Tuolumne to Kern counties, with a few scattered occurrences in the Inner South Coast Ranges to Fresno County, and in the Transverse Ranges to San Bernardino County.
