Discussion | Subspecies peirsonii is known from east of the Salton Sea and Imperial Valley in Imperial and San Diego counties, California, and in northeastern Baja California to the Gulf of California. Subspecies peeblesii is known throughout almost all the southwestern half of Arizona and locally in northwesternmost Sonora, and was recently collected in Grant and Hildago counties in New Mexico.
