Discussion

Variety lonchus has a largely coastal distribution from Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County southward to the Santa Maria Plains in northern Baja California.

Variety trichopodus is known from three restricted areas in southern California from Kern and San Luis Obispo counties southward to San Diego County.
