Discussion | Variety lonchus has a largely coastal distribution from Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County southward to the Santa Maria Plains in northern Baja California. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
Variety antisellii occurs from Kern and San Luis Obispo counties southward to western Riverside county. Variety antisellii is a relatively tall taxon with ample leaves and elongate, loosely-flowered racemes, which do not much elongate in fruit. The long-stipitate, pendulous, laterally compressed legumes bicarinate by the sutures are diagnostic for this variety. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
