Discussion

Variety scidulus is distantly isolated from var. toanus in the Arizona Strip, Mohave County.

Variety toanus resembles the distantly disjunct Astragalus saurinus of the Uinta Basin and A. rafaelensis of the San Rafael Swell, Utah.
