Discussion

Variety anxius is known only from Ash Valley in Lassen County. The report of Astragalus tegetarioides (T. W. Nelson and J. P. Nelson 1982) from here is assigned to this variety.

Variety anxius is listed as Astragalus anxius in NatureServe as a G1 plant of conservation concern.
