calyx campanulate, glabrous, tube 4.7–6.5 × 3.4–4.5 mm, lobes 2.3–6 mm;

corolla white (concolorous), drying ochroleucous.

Legumes

subsymmetric, ellipsoid, 25–40 mm, sutures subequally concave in profile;

gynophore 3.5–8(–10) mm.

Discussion

Variety lavinii is found in the Pine Nut Mountains and Wellington Hills, Douglas and southern Lyon counties, Nevada, and in the Bodie Hills, Mono County, California.
