Discussion

Variety hallii occurs in central, south-central, and southwestern Colorado, north-central and northwestern New Mexico, and just into Arizona (Apache County), and is disjunct in Oklahoma (Cimarron County).

Variety fallax is known from Arizona, western New Mexico, and Kane County in Utah.
