Discussion | Variety accidens is restricted to southern Douglas and eastern Josephine counties. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
R. C. Barneby (1964) proposed that var. hendersonii, a northwestern California and southwestern Oregon endemic, is ancestral to the typical variety because of the wide dispersion and fragmented distribution of var. hendersonii. Astragalus pacificus E. Sheldon is an illegitimate name that pertains here. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
