Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Arctostaphylos purissima is known from hills and mesas near the coast (Burton Mesa) in Santa Barbara County.

Arctostaphylos canescens is widespread in the Coast Ranges of central and northern California and northward into southwestern Oregon.
