Habit Shrubs, erect, 1–5 m; burl absent; twigs short-hairy with long, white hairs. Shrubs, erect or mound-forming, 1–3 m; burl absent; twigs finely glandular-hairy.
Leaves

Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Arctostaphylos pechoensis is known from the vicinity of the Pecho Hills, San Luis Obispo County.

Arctostaphylos hispidula is known from Josephine County, Oregon, and adjacent California in Del Norte and Humboldt counties; there is an isolated population in northern Sonoma County, California.
