Discussion

Subspecies 2 (2 in the flora).

Arctostaphylos mewukka is found on the western slopes of the central and northern Sierra Nevada.

Arctostaphylos pechoensis is known from the vicinity of the Pecho Hills, San Luis Obispo County.
