Discussion | Subspecies 10 (8 in the flora). Arctostaphylos glandulosa occurs in the California Floristic Province from southern Oregon to northern Baja California within the Coast, Transverse, and Peninsular ranges. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
Of conservation concern. Arctostaphylos montereyensis is known from sandy soils, ranging from dunes to sandstone outcrops, in the southern Monterey Bay area, Monterey County. Plants found on Fort Ord with auriculate leaf bases and blue-green leaves may represent hybrids with A. pajaroensis. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
