Flowers 5-petaled and white, many, in short, terminal racemes; calyx short, 5-parted nearly to the base; stamens 5-10, slightly longer than the style, the anthers opening by pores near the tip;

ovary superior.

Fruits

Capsule 5-valved, ovoid, 4-5 mm. long, puberulent.
