Habitat Dry, often rocky, open woodland and thickets on slopes and plains. Lowland to subalpine, usually in open areas, occasionally in forests.
Distribution
Occurring east of the Cascades crest in Washington; central Washington to California, east to Idaho, Colorado, and Arizona.
