Habit Bog-loving, scapose, perennial herbs, the scapes to 25 cm. tall.
Leaves

Leaves all basal, spreading, the blades glandular-viscid, rotund to obovate, 6-12 mm. long and at least as broad, on stout petioles 2-9 cm. long.

Flowers

Inflorescence of 1-2, somewhat 1-sided, 3- to 10-flowered racemes;

calyx deeply 5-lobed, the lobes ovate-oblong;

petals 5, white, oblong, longer than the calyx;

stamens 5, slightly shorter than the petals;

styles 3, bifid nearly to the base.

Fruits

Capsule 1-celled.
