Leaves | Opposite, mostly glabrous and entire-margined; leaves sometimes whorled near top of plant; up to 5 cm. long and about 1 cm. wide. Stems and flower pedicels often have short hairs that are sometimes glandular. |

Flowers | 4-7 mm. long, bilabiate (two-lipped) with blue lower lip and white to whitish pink upper lip; lower half of corolla tube fused and abruptly bent near base forming a small sac on upper side of corolla base. |

Fruits | Ellipse-shaped capsule up to 5 mm. long and typically shorter than the sepals. |
