Botrychium viride is an unpublished name. Genetic and morphological evidence supports its treatment as a taxon separate from B. lanceolatum. Plants referred to as the green genotype of B. lanceolatum belong here.

Distribution
Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington; Alaska to California, east to Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.
