Allium nevii

Habit Scapose perennial from one or more ovoid bulbs, the inner coats reddish to white, the outer coats gray to brown; with a thin inner membrane showing a distinct network pattern. Scapose perennials from ovoid bulbs, usually solitary, outer coats brownish, without a network pattern.
Leaves

Leaves 2, concave-convex, narrow, persistent at maturity, shorter than the scape;

scape usually 1-2 dm. tall, terete, not thickened below the umbel.

Leaves 2, much longer than the scape, concave-convex or flattened, narrow, tardily deciduous;

scape nearly terete, somewhat ridged, up to 1 dm. tall.
Flowers

Umbel several- to many-flowered, the slender pedicels 2-3 times the length of the tepals;

tepals usually 6-7 mm. long, entire, pointed, narrowly lanceolate, usually pink;

stamens 6, about as long as the tepals.

Umbel several- to many-flowered, pedicels 1-3 times as long as the tepals;

tepals 5-7 mm. long, lanceolate, pointed, white or pinkish with greenish or reddish midribs;

stamens 6, slightly exerted;

anthers dark, purplish-brown or reddish.
Fruits

Capsule 3-celled.

Capsule 3-celled and 3-lobed, without a crest.

Habitat Vernally wet meadows and rocky soils at low to middle elevations. Lithosol and barren, gravelly soils in the shrub-steppe.
