Leaves

15–45 cm × 2–14 mm.

Inflorescences

scapes occasionally scabrous near base.

Flowers

yellow, rarely white;

perianth 15–28 mm long;

tube 5–10 mm long, tapered at base;

lobes 10–18 mm long;

stamens attached at same level, leaning away from stigma;

filaments awl-shaped; equal in length or nearly so, 3–4 mm, not forked;

anthers purple or sometimes white;

ovary 50% the length of the stalk.

Discussion

Dry open areas. Flowering Apr–Jul. 0–1800 m. Casc, CR, Sisk, WV. CA. Native.

Plants with white flowers are found in Curry County and are sometimes recognized as a distinct taxon (T. hendersonii var. leachiae).
