Stems | shortly creeping and ascending, bearing a crown of deciduous arching monomorphic leaves. |
Leaves | deciduous, monomorphic; to 70 × 15 cm; leaf bases short and persistent; thick and numerous, forming a nearly continuous layer on the scaly stem. |
Petiole | short and stout, glabrous distally, strongly grooved adaxially; straw-colored; base darker with sparse scales and small white tubercles; rachis similar to the petiole. |
Blades | herbaceous, elliptic, narrowed from the mid-region to the apex and gradually narrowed to the base, pale green; abaxial surface glandular; pale hairs present on the costae. |
Pinnae | linear; to 10 × 2 cm; lowest pinna sometimes less than 1 cm long, deeply and regularly incised; segments oblong, angled slightly forwards, rounded; margins plane or slightly recurved; (sub-)entire. |
Sori | round; borne on veins equidistant between the margin and costa; indusia thin, reniform. |
