Flowers | sepal lobes 2.5–4.5 mm; up to 4.8 mm in fruit; petals white or pink to rosy; stamens 2–5; styles 0.4–0.7 mm. |

Discussion | Salt marshes, roadsides. Flowering May–Aug. 0–1400 m. BW, Casc, CR, ECas, Est, Owy, WV. CA, ID, NV, WA; most of North America; Asia, Europe. Native? Formerly only found in salt marshes, S. marina has been collected twice along roadsides since 2005. |
