petals pink to rosy or blue;

Seeds

0.6–0.8 mm, red-brown; smooth or surface tubercled, sculpted with lines, or of low rounded mounds, not papillate, often winged.

Discussion

Salt marshes and flats, sandy banks and cliffs. Flowering May–Aug. 0–50 m. Est. CA, WA; north to British Columbia, south to Mexico. Native.
