Discussion

Serpentine soils, coniferous woodlands. Flowering Apr–Jun. 100–800 m. Sisk. CA. Native.

We follow Chambers and Meyers (2011) in treating this taxon as a subspecies of S. hookeri; see Nelson and Nelson (2004) and Hartman et al. (2012) for treatments as a species. The only record for this taxon in Oregon is a collection made by Thomas Howell in 1884.
